Welcome aboard,

It is with great pleasure that I invite everyone to visit our website to find out what our cadets are doing not only during the summer but throughout the school year as well. We hope this site encourages other young Americans to join us and fill in the ranks of our wonderful program. The officers of the Stockholm Battalion are committed to continuing their efforts to educate and give guidance for our young leaders so that they may be able complete their goals. We encourage those of you with prior military service to contact us if you wish to join our program or would like to come in from time to time to teach a class or speak to our cadets. We also invite people from the civilian sector to come and host question and answer period so that those cadets that are still not sure what direction to follow after high school graduation can understand that there are other fields that may fit their goals. Please note that anyone that wishes to attend one of our drills should contact us via email so that we can update or revise our Plan of the Day to fit or accommodate your request. We also invite our active and reserve members of our military to submit their pictures so that we may post them as our service member of the week. We look forward to honoring your service.

Once again, thank you for visiting our website and we look forward to your feedback and inquiries into our great program.

Special Notes from the Battalion:
BRAVO - ZULU SECTION

Congratulation’s to our ALPO, Cadet Yao Kouame for completing the PRT for U-COIN training and being accepted after the review board convened on April 16th 2012. Out of hundreds of applications Cadet Kouame was selected along with 29 other cadets from across the country.

Excerpt from what is to come for Cadet Kouame-

Many of you found out the cruel reality of how lack of preparedness bit you during the hiking portion of the PRT.  I can tell by the times some of you thought it was going to be FAR easier than you found out.  Be aware hiking with full gear is going to be something you do every single day multiple times during this training.  If you thought 10 miles was rough for the PRT, you are going to want to quit after the first day of the actual training.  You can prepare by following the tips in the welcome package.  For real world ops there are two things which are important: 1. Can you get from the drop zone to the mission target quickly and still have energy left to perform (ie….hiking) and 2. Can you haul tail for a 300 yard sprint and still be able to shoot accurately or talk over the radio once you get done running. (ie….moving back away from an engaged target)  We have a short PT session each morning where you will be doing pushups, etc….but you will be running and hiking ALL day.  This isn’t a PT type of training, this is a real world type of training.  If you don’t prepare starting May 1st, this is going to be a VERY ROUGH Training!!

Mr. Kouame exceeded the PRT with a determination that embodies the SeaBee CAN DO spirit.

Congratulation’s to Instructor Ryan Ruona whom recently transferred to the Stockholm Battalion from Duluth, Minnesota. We have just been informed that his promotion paperwork has arrived and he is now LTJG Ryan Ruona. Mr. Ruona brings with him a background of service in U.S. Navy and is also one of my former TWT cadets. It is a pleasure to see LTJG Ruona in our program and continue the work that his past role models have done for so many others.
